What are Dental Implants?
Dental Implants have been used successfully for many years. The implant itself is a post that
is surgically placed in the jaw. A prosthesis (artificial tooth or teeth) is then attached to the
post. We only use Nobel Biocare Dental Implants, which are placed by a Board Certified Oral Surgeon.
There are two basic uses for Dental Implants:
As an artificial root for a single tooth replacement.
As anchors for a fixed or removable prosthesis to replace multiple teeth.
What are All-On-Four Implants?
This is our most affordable solution for patients that want to replace their denture with
fixed teeth. This bridge uses Swissedent teeth with acrylic gingival applied over a custom procera
titanium framework that is milled to fit into your implants. We are able to anchor a fixed bridge
with up to 4 to 6 implants, less than normally used. This saves thousands of dollars. Your fixed
bridge can be finished in weeks because the implants can be immediately attached. The goal of most
patients who wear dentures is to be able to go back to a time when they had fixed teeth and All
-On-Four dentures can make that happen. For many patients, due to cost, this was not possible.
Now more patients can quickly get fixed permanent teeth.
What are Swissedent Implants?
Swissedent Implants are designed and hand-crafted to complement a patient's age, sex and physical
appearance. When looking closely at someone's natural teeth you will see that they are not precisely
aligned with each other. When the person smiles, part of the upper teeth show below the upper lip.
The amount that shows depends on several factors, including the person's age and the structure of
the person's face. These characteristics are very subtle, and they are often overlooked in the making
of ordinary dentures. To be sure, producing Swissedent Implant dentures with these subtle but all-important
characteristics takes time, attention to detail, and skill that David & Associates can offer to you.
What is a Syncom Implant Bridge?
This is the latest addition to implant over dentures that David & Associates offers. While a Syncom Implant
Bridge is removable for cleaning – because it has a custom metal framework inside the restoration – when chewing
the implants support the total load of chewing like a fixed bridge. No pressure is felt on the gums while eating.
What are Spark Erosion Fixed Teeth?
Spark Erosion Fixed Teeth act as a totally fixed bridge but they are easily removed for cleaning. It
feels and functions as a permanent bridge with no pressure of your gums. For patients with a large amount
of bone loss a Spark Erosion Fixed Teeth Implant can offer the most comfort.
What is a Custom Porcelain Bridge?
This is for the patient who either has many of their teeth but for whatever reason such as gum
disease or decay cannot be restored long-term. It is also a great option for patients who have
lost their teeth but do not have a lot of bone loss. This type of implant is the closet dentistry
to give patients their natural dentition back. Our laboratory makes custom abutments that individually
screw into each implant. These abutments are replications of crown preparations on natural teeth. Our
master ceramist then customizes a porcelain bridge for the abutments. The custom bridge is then cemented
to the abutments for a spectacular life-like smile.
